The Jets continue to get good injury news as not only did Will McDonald return the game, but so did recently acquired wide receiver Davante Adams, who’s back on the field for Gang Green.
Here’s the latest updates on what happened to Davante Adams this evening:
Davante Adams injury update
Jets fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Adams has returned to the game late in the fourth quarter.
After a great move to get by a Texans’ defender, Adams was hit forcefully in his legs that left him airborne for a second before landing head first onto the ground out of bounds.
Adams eventually was able to get up and headed immediately to the blue medical tent to get checked on.
Shortly thereafter, he headed back to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion before returning to action.
Who is Davante Adams’ backup on Jets depth chart?
If Adams were able to miss any more time in tonight’s game, there’d be a likely increase in rookie wide receiver Malachi Corley, who already dropped an easy, walk-in touchdown before crossing the goal line early in the first half.
Davante Adams stats
Since being traded to the Jets, Adams has seven catches for 84 yards in two games with Gang Green. Prior to that, the six-time Pro Bowler had 18 receptions for 209 yards and a touchdown in three games with his previous team, the Las Vegas Raiders.
