Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Jermaine Burton is facing an eviction notice from his Banks apartment, according to court documents.

Burton, a rookie out of Alabama, also did not travel with the team for Saturday’s night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, head coach Zac Taylor said.

Taylor said it was his decision to leave his third-round draft pick behind, but did not comment on the reason for the choice.

Radius Acquistion LLC filed eviction paperwork in Hamilton County Municipal Court on Christmas Eve.

The company said it gave Burton a three-day notice to vacate his Freedom Way apartment on Dec. 17, but that Burton has not complied.

Court documents state the landlord is seeking over $2,500 in rent and $75.35 per day that Burton does not leave the apartment.

Radius Acquisition is also seeking “$10,000 to compensate Plaintiff for injury to the premises above and beyond ordinary wear and tear,” the documents state. No further details about the damage are given.

Burton has been summoned to a Jan. 24 court date to address the eviction.
