New York Jets vs. Los Angeles Rams Game Inactives

Then there is the Rodgers-Stafford rivalry, honed from 2009-20, when Stafford was a Lion, Rodgers a Packer and the two usually met twice a year in their intradivision North rivalry. Rodgers holds a 14-4 edge on Stafford and 13-4 in their NFC North years, and Rodgers also has a 6-1 career mark and a 107.6 passer rating against the Rams.

But that’s all ancient history. Both QBs have talented skill players — WRs Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams and RB Breece Hall for the Jets, WRs Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua and 1,000-yard rusher Kyren Williams for the Rams. Both QBs are on hot streaks — Stafford has 10 TD passes and no turnovers in his last five starts, Rodgers has 13 TDs and 2 turnovers (1 INT, 1 strip) in his last seven starts.

And both QBs might have found holes in the opposing defenses to exploit, if not for the weather contributing to the equation. The Jets’ numbers and rankings on D are better than the Rams, and CB Sauce Gardner is coming off his best two games of the season, including last week’s first interception in two years, and is rejoined on the outside by D.J. Reed, returning to action after sitting out the Jaguars with a groin injury.

Yet LA is the hotter team record-wise with seven wins in their last nine games and four consecutive wins on the road coming into the teeth of the Meadowlands winter winds. May the more adaptable team prevail and then head into its last two games of the 2024 regular season on a cold roll.
